Together with KIYO, Spring Communities is investing in the potential of young people by creating spaces where creativity, self-expression, and practical learning become tools for empowerment. Through a series of impactful trainings and workshops delivered under the Empowering Youth Together project, young participants are gaining the confidence, skills, and direction needed to make meaningful contributions within their communities.
One of the key highlights of the initiative was a three-day comics workshop facilitated by Shakabwa Chance. During the training, participants explored the foundations of comic creation, including storytelling, visual composition, and artistic expression. Beyond learning technical artistic skills, the workshop encouraged participants to develop their own creative identities and discover how art can be used as a powerful form of communication and community engagement.
In parallel, Spring Communities organized a three-day introductory stage workshop for 24 engaged young people with Sabrah Amor. The theater-based training provided participants with a safe and supportive environment for expression, self-discovery, and personal development through the use of body movement, voice, and emotion.
The stage workshop was structured progressively across three days. The first day focused on voice work and team building, helping participants connect and collaborate. The second day explored articulation, oral expression, and creativity, while the final day concentrated on improving concentration, managing stage fright, and strengthening self-confidence. The program concluded with performance presentations where participants showcased their newly acquired skills in front of their peers, demonstrating remarkable growth in confidence and public speaking abilities.
At the same time, a three-day entrepreneurship training equipped participants with practical tools for personal and professional growth. Through a combination of theory and hands-on exercises, the young people strengthened their understanding of self-awareness, business idea development, and business planning. The training encouraged initiative and innovation while helping participants transform ideas into realistic and actionable projects.
Spring Communities also recognizes that empowerment comes not only from knowledge, but from providing young people with relevant and applicable life skills. Through the Inspiration Hubs, 24 young people actively engaged in activities designed to mirror real-life challenges over the course of three days. Topics such as financial literacy, communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking were integrated as essential elements of a holistic learning experience rather than treated as secondary skills.
Together with KIYO, Spring Communities is also redefining youth preparation for the future through the implementation of the Academic and Socio-Professional Orientation (ASPO) approach. ASPO is more than a guidance initiative; it is a structured process that helps young people better understand themselves, explore opportunities, and make informed decisions about their academic and professional futures.

By introducing socio-professional orientation early, Spring Communities and KIYO are helping young people build pathways that are both realistic and aspirational. Their approach goes beyond academic achievement by preparing students to thrive socially, creatively, and professionally.
The impact of these initiatives extends far beyond the participants themselves. Communities benefit when young people are equipped with practical skills, confidence, creativity, and a stronger sense of direction. Families gain hope as they witness clearer opportunities for their children, while educational systems benefit from complementary models that strengthen and enrich formal learning.
Through creativity, entrepreneurship, theater, and socio-professional orientation, Spring Communities and KIYO continue to demonstrate that empowering youth means investing not only in education, but also in confidence, expression, and the ability to shape a better future.
